When Can I stop my Sleeping pills?

One of the most frequently asked questions when I have conversations with people is “ When Can I stop my Sleeping pills ?”. This was always in the back of my mind too in 2019.

In fact, in 2019, this was one of the big problems I was facing too.

I constantly had this in the back of my Mind about what other potential issues I have by taking the Anti-Anxiety pills. I was reading about the potentially harmful effects of sleeping pills.

After a lot of worry about all the things. I focused on working on myself with the practice of Meditation.

What Did Meditation Do?

It removed the attention from worry to relaxation and believe me nothing happens overnight. But as they say, once the Attention to worry was gone the worry no longer bothered me.

With every visit, my dosage was reduced to half because the symptoms in May were way less than the symptoms in April.

Similarly, the symptoms in June that I reported were way less than the ones in May.

So, the thing that worked for me was focusing on improving myself and not spending time in Desperation.

Finally, I was able to throw away the sleeping pills.

Why replacing Desperation Makes Sense

I am always in Awe of this beautiful Quote by Martin Luther King “Darkness cannot Drive out Darkness only light can; hate cannot replace hate only love can”.

Along the same lines, Desperation to get over your sleeping pills cannot drive out Sleeping pills only relaxation can.

We spend 1/3rd of time on Sleeping. However, there not many people talk about the importance of a Good Night’s Sleep. Matthew Walker the Author of the Book “Why We Sleep” says that Sleep is the Foundation for the other pillars of Health.
